Elementary Teacher (4th Grade Classroom Teacher) – Long-Term Substitute

Anticipated January 4, 2027 through February 26, 2027

Livonia Central School District is seeking a student-centered, collaborative elementary educator to serve as a Long-Term Substitute 4th Grade Classroom Teacher at Livonia Elementary School.

The successful candidate will assume the full responsibilities of a 4th grade classroom teacher during the anticipated leave period, including planning and delivering instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment, communicating with families, and collaborating with grade-level colleagues, support staff, and school administration.

We are seeking an educator who builds strong relationships with students, provides engaging and responsive instruction, and contributes positively to a collaborative elementary school community.

Position Details

  • Anticipated Dates: January 4, 2027 through February 26, 2027

The anticipated dates are subject to change based on the employee’s leave and District needs.

Job Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • NYS certification in both Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
  • effective collaborative skills and the ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • experience supporting a range of student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • strong classroom management and problem-solving skills
  • a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach to meeting student needs
  • the ability to transition successfully between grade levels, classrooms, and instructional settings
