Elementary Teacher – Long-Term Substitute
Anticipated September 2026 through March 2027, with potential for a full-year appointment
Livonia Central School District anticipates several elementary long-term substitute teaching needs during the 2026-2027 school year. The District is seeking a flexible, student-centered elementary educator who may be interested in completing one, several, or all of the anticipated assignments.
Anticipated Assignments
- Kindergarten long-term substitute assignment, anticipated September through November
- Prekindergarten long-term substitute assignment, anticipated October through December
- Fourth-grade long-term substitute assignment, anticipated January through March
- Additional substitute teaching needs may arise based on staffing and student needs
The anticipated dates are approximate and subject to change. Because some assignments may overlap, the District may hire more than one candidate or work with selected candidates to determine the assignments that best align with their availability, certification, experience, and interests.
Potential Full-Year Opportunity
Depending on the interest and availability of the selected candidate, the District may offer a full-year appointment. During periods when the employee is not serving in a long-term substitute assignment, the individual would serve as a building substitute and provide instructional coverage and support throughout the elementary school.
